3. Bronze Age Arrowhead
This barbed and tanged arrowhead was found around 70 years ago somewhere in Ardross. It is a fine example of flint, measuring around 7cm, larger than many others found in the Highlands. Perhaps it was used for hunting or it may have formed part of archery equipment buried with a wealthy man. A number of Bronze Age cist burials are known from the area, but all were destroyed by the 20th century. Some of the roundhouses (hut circles) known from the area may also date to this period.
